Coming soonThe problem
You finished the job.
Did you make money?
Most contractors can't answer that on the spot. You quote it, do the work, get paid — and the real number stays buried. By the time you find out that job bled you, it's too late to fix it.
-
Materials creep
Three extra trips to the supply house. Nobody wrote it down. The cost came straight off the bottom.
-
Hours run long
The two-day job took four. That time was yours — and you worked it for free.
-
Fuel & dump fees
The small stuff you never log adds up to a real chunk of the margin, every single job.
What you cleared per hour is the one number that keeps the lights on. DIRT hands it to you.
How it works
Four steps.
Done from the truck.
-
Talk it in (iPhone)
"New job — kitchen rewire for the Hendersons." Call out the hours, materials, fuel and fees as they happen. Tap the mic. No typing.
-
DIRT does the math
It adds up what came in and every cost that ate your margin — materials, subs, fuel, dump fees. No spreadsheet.
-
See what you cleared
One screen, big numbers. Net profit and what you made per hour, per job. Green means you made money. Red means you bled it.
-
Invoice. Get paid.
Turn the job into a clean, itemized invoice. Every money move gets read back — nothing sends until you say "yes." Collect however your customer pays.
What's in the box
It's not just a job logger.
The profit number is the hook. Underneath it, DIRT runs the office work you keep putting off — jobs, bids, clients, invoices — all from voice on iPhone, or keyboard on the web.
-
Real profit per hour
Net after every material, soft cost, and mile. Not a guess — the actual number your time earned.
-
Voice job logging
Talk through a job in 60 seconds from the truck. DIRT logs hours, materials, mileage, and costs in one shot.
iPhone -
Invoices
Numbered, itemized, and sent from your own phone or computer. Every money action confirmed out loud before it goes.
-
Bids & estimates
Build itemized bids and send a clean public link. Convert a won bid to a job with one tap.
-
Client history
Every job, bid, and invoice on a client — outstanding balance, payment terms, standard discount.
-
Stats & trends
Net profit, hourly rate trends, best clients, recommendations — and how you compare to peers in your trade.
-
Trips & mileage
Log every drive. Fuel, vehicle wear, and travel cost roll into each job's true numbers automatically.
-
Dual payment rails
Stripe card and bank payments — or check, Venmo, Zelle, cash. Mark paid by voice. Books stay straight either way.
-
Read-a-receipt
Talk through a receipt line by line. DIRT logs each item as a job cost or overhead expense — no photo required.
iPhone -
Progress billing
Invoice specific line items from a bigger job. Deposit invoices, partial billing, full reconciliation when you close it out.
The number that matters
Every job, one honest number.
Not a guess. Not "feels about right." DIRT shows you what each job actually cleared per hour — your time treated as the money you're trying to earn, not buried in a column. Know your best work from your worst. Quote the next one like you mean it.

Get paid your way
You pick how the money comes in.
Tradespeople don't all get paid the same way. DIRT doesn't force one. Build the invoice once — then collect however your customer pays.
-
Card & bank
Turn on card and bank payments through DIRT. Invoice goes out under your business — you stay the merchant, money lands in your account.
-
Check, Venmo, Zelle, cash
Old-school is fine. DIRT cuts a numbered invoice and you mark it paid by voice — "paid, check 1042" — so your books stay straight without a processor.
Every money move gets read back to you out loud. Nothing sends until you say "yes."

FAQ
Straight answers.
Do I have to type everything in?
No. On iPhone you talk to it from the truck. Typing is there if you want it, but the whole point is voice — and anything you type by hand, DIRT leaves alone. On the web app, everything is keyboard-first for desk work.
What's the difference between iPhone and the Web app?
iPhone is where you capture jobs — voice log from the truck, talk through expenses, send invoices on the go. The web app at app.dirttrades.com is the desk command center — review jobs, manage bids and clients, run reports, edit invoices. Same account, same data, both platforms.
When is Android coming?
It's in final Google Play testing now — roughly 2 weeks out. Full voice parity with iPhone: same Talk, same profit numbers, same invoicing. Android users will get the same experience, not a cut-down version.
Is this accounting software?
No. DIRT tells you what each job actually cleared per hour, then helps you invoice and get paid — right from the truck. It's not payroll and it's not your accountant's books. Just the money that matters: what you made per job, and getting it collected.
How do I get paid through it?
Your call. Turn on card and bank payments — the invoice goes out under your business and the money lands in your account. Or keep taking check, Venmo, Zelle, and cash — DIRT still cuts a numbered invoice and you mark it paid by voice.
What's it cost?
Three plans: Basic $9.99/mo (5 min AI Talk), Plus $49.99/mo (~1 hr Talk — best for most), Pro $79.99/mo (unlimited Talk + AI Tax Prep). Annual pricing saves ~17%. Every plan includes unlimited jobs, invoices, and full profit tracking.
How does the referral program work?
Once you've downloaded DIRT, go to Settings → Referrals to get your personal link. When a tradesperson signs up through your link and subscribes, you earn 20% of their net subscription for 12 months — paid straight to your account via Stripe. No minimum payout threshold until you hit $50.
Will my numbers stay private?
Your jobs and your money are your business. We don't sell your data, and we don't post your numbers anywhere. When we compare you to peers, it's anonymous and aggregated — you see how you rank, but nobody sees your individual numbers. Full details in our privacy policy.
